The new edition of the UVic Torch Alumni Magazine includes a special 50th anniversary celebration of five favourite campus landmarks: Ring Road, the SUB, First Peoples House, Archives, and Mystic Vale. The magazine is in the mail and online. Let us know what you think: email the editor.

Annual General Meeting June 20

All alumni are invited to the UVic Alumni Association's 2013 Annual General Meeting. The agenda includes a review of the past year's activities, granting of Honorary Alumnus status to President David Turpin, recognition of Alumni Who Made a Difference, and an Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award presentation to Kathleen Barnes, BA '98.

Registration opens at 6:30, meeting starts at 7 in the David Lam Auditorium. Register here.

Celebrating Alumni Involvement in UVic Life

To help commemorate UVic's 50th anniversary, the UVic Alumni Association is honouring alumni contributions to the growth and reputation of our university. Fifty representatives of the alumni community have been selected as examples of the key roles many alumni play in supporting UVic's mission. You can read about them here.

New: National car rental and Arbutus Inn join Alumni Card program

National car rental and Victoria's Arbutus Inn now offer discounts for Alumni Card program members. The list of partners continues to grow - with more than 30 business and services, off-campus and on-campus, offering special rates for card holders.
